Low Calorie
100g Basa fillet contains only 90 calories. If you're on a diet, Basa fillets can be a good choice, as it takes less than 10 minutes of jogging or swimming to burn these calories.
Moderately high fat
The Omega-3 fatty acids found in fish can do wonders for your health, and Basa contains moderate amounts of these acids.
Specifically, 100g of Basa fillet can provide 4g of fat. About 2.6-6.7% of the fat mass in a serving of Basa fish contains Omega-3 fatty acids. A high intake of these acids, particularly DHA and EPA, helps reduce the risk of heart disease and other chronic conditions.
